SUPPORT
As a Latin American immigrant and independent journalist in the US, my dream was to surpass the traditional headlines that dominate mainstream media and create a platform that would truly make a difference. That is why I created LAT, an independent bilingual media outlet that shares local stories that can potentially have a global impact. We tell the overlooked narratives of Latin America and Latinos in the United States, highlight transformative solutions, and explore the intricate connections between Latam and the US through digital multimedia content that informs, engages, appeals to new generations, and inspires social change.
As an early-stage media startup, LAT is entirely funded by my personal funds, grants, and the proceeds from our services. This has allowed me to set up operations and hire freelancers. However, my vision extends beyond these initial steps. I strive for ongoing growth and aspire to build a diverse team to share stories from across the region. While LAT is a work in progress, this website represents the essence of my dream—an endeavor I am determined to enhance and expand upon.
If you’re passionate about making a difference, I invite you to join me on this journey! Whether you’re interested in sharing your invaluable experience, offering advice, connecting with like-minded individuals or organizations that share our mission, or simply meeting over a cup of coffee to talk about LAT, I would be absolutely thrilled to connect with you! Say hi via email, and let’s forge a powerful collaboration that creates a lasting impact.
Additionally, if you could make a donation to support our work, I would appreciate it very much. Con cariño, GB.
